Schools have always faced the twin challenges of conserving important traditions and preparing students for a changing future. In this talk, we'll explore four important shifts taking place with implications for educators: exponential growth of informal learning, changing teaching practices inside colleges, the impact of automation on working life, and the continually improving field of the science of learning.
